Retry a schedule on products that did not change

Open the run that has issues and click Retry. PopAutomate changes only the products that did not change, using the schedule's current settings.

Steps

Path: Schedules > the schedule > Run history

  1. Click Schedules in the menu on the left, then click the schedule name. On your phone, Schedules is in the bottom bar.
  2. In Run history, click the run whose result is Completed with issues or Failed to open it.
  3. Under the products, click Retry. The number in parentheses on the button is how many products PopAutomate retries.
  1. In the dialog "Retry?", click Retry.

If the schedule has the Failed status, a "Run failed: … didn't change" banner appears at the top of the page. It has a Retry button too.

Result

  • You see "We started the retry." The run starts right away.
  • A new run of type Retry appears in Run history. Open it to see the result for each product.
  • PopAutomate changes only the products that did not change. PopAutomate does not touch products that changed in the first run.
  • The run takes about 10 minutes per 100 products, and you can close the page.

Rules

  • PopAutomate does not retry a product that was deleted from your store, or a product with options that the platform refuses to discount. Fix those first, as in Some products did not change after a schedule ran.
  • A retry uses the schedule's current settings. If you changed the discount after the run, the new value applies.
  • A retry does not change the schedule's times or its repeat count. A schedule that is Paused stays paused.
  • Your store must be connected. If you see "Reconnect your store first.", reconnect it, then retry.
  • Only one run at a time can change your store. If you see "Your store is busy with another run…", try again after it finishes.
  • What a retry changes is restored like any other run: at the end of the offer if you chose Restore it, or when you click Restore.
  • Do not retry after the offer has ended. PopAutomate changes those products again, and may not restore them on its own. If you already did, click Restore.
  • Do not use Retry in a Restore run: you only get "We couldn't do that. Try again." Click Restore at the top of the schedule page instead, as in Restore prices and products after a schedule ran.
