Schedule page guide: every button, status and run

The schedule page shows the schedule's status, the buttons available for it now, and every run with the products that changed. Open it by clicking the schedule name in Schedules.

The buttons depend on the status of the schedule, so you never see all of them at once. The other screens are in PopAutomate screen guide: every screen and button.

What do the statuses mean?

Next to the schedule name is a badge with its status, such as Scheduled, Offer Active or Disabled. Click the question mark next to it to see What do the statuses mean?

  • "Scheduled: waiting for its next time."
  • "Offer active: changes applied and waiting to end."
  • If your store is not connected, the schedule shows Disabled, even if it is scheduled or running.

The article Status guide: what schedule and run statuses mean explains each status and what to do.

Stop execution

Stop execution appears while the schedule is Running. It stops the run. Products that already changed stay as they are, and one or more products may change before the run stops.

If the run is changing products, stopping it also pauses the schedule, so it does not run at its next times until you click Activate.

End offer now

End offer now appears while the schedule is Offer Active. It restores the products to how they were before the offer and ends the whole schedule, with all its future repeats. After you click it, "We started ending the offer." appears.

For a discount, the sale price ends. A sale price the product had before the offer does not come back.

The full steps are in End an offer and restore prices now.

Run it now

Run it now appears while the schedule is Scheduled. It runs the schedule on your store now, before its time.

For a one-time schedule, this run replaces its scheduled run, so the schedule does not run again at the time you set. To keep the time, click Duplicate and run the copy. For a schedule that repeats a set number of times, the count goes down by one.

Activate

Activate appears while the schedule is Paused or Draft, or Disabled because it failed twice in a row. The schedule runs at its times again, and "Activated." appears. For a draft, it opens the schedule steps so you can finish and activate it.

If the connection is lost, "Turned on, but it can't run until you reconnect your store." appears.

Pause

Pause appears while the schedule is Scheduled. The schedule does not run until you click Activate, and what already changed in your store stays. After you click it, "Paused." appears with Undo.

Restore

Restore appears while the schedule is Completed, Ended, Paused or Failed, if some products have not come back. It restores each product to the state PopAutomate saved before the run.

  • "We started the restore.": the restore started now.
  • "The restore is waiting for another run on your store to finish.": it starts after the run in progress.
  • "Nothing is left to restore.": all the products are back.

If some products do not come back, PopAutomate tries again on its own after 15 minutes, then after an hour, then after 6 hours. If they stay changed after the last try, a "We couldn't put all of “…” back" card appears on Home. You can click Restore again any time it appears.

The full steps are in Restore prices and products after a schedule ran.

Edit

Edit opens the schedule steps so you can change what you want, then save. The steps are in Edit a saved schedule: change the time, value or products.

  • If the schedule is one-time, starts Now and has already run, saving an edit does not run it in your store again. "Edit saved. We didn't run it in your store again because it already ran. …" appears. To apply it again, click Duplicate and activate the copy.
  • If its status is Offer Active and you changed its value, products or categories, PopAutomate runs it again in your store with your edit.
  • A one-time schedule that has run does not run again after you change its time. For a new run, click Duplicate.

Duplicate

Duplicate opens a new schedule with the settings of this schedule. Check every step before you activate, because some settings may not carry over to the copy. What does not carry over is in Duplicate a schedule: same settings, new dates.

Delete

Delete moves the schedule to Deleted after you click Move to Deleted. The schedule does not run after that. You can restore it from Deleted, or click Undo in the message.

  • Deleting does not put your products back. If the offer is live, it continues until its end, and then PopAutomate restores the products.
  • If it has a restore waiting for its time, you cannot delete it permanently from Deleted until PopAutomate restores its products. After that, you can delete it.

Why does it take time?

While the schedule is Running, a bar like "Changing products: 12 of 50" appears, with the number of remaining products below it. You can close the page, and PopAutomate finishes the run on its own. Click Why does it take time? on the bar to see the reason:

  • "Salla and Zid allow a limited number of changes per minute."
  • "Every 100 products takes approximately 10 minutes."
  • "If multiple schedules run at the same time, they execute one after another."

If a run starts much later than its time, see the article A schedule did not run on time: why and how to fix it.

Restore at the end

Before any run, PopAutomate saves the state of every product: price, sale price, visibility, categories and promo title. At the end, or when you click Restore, PopAutomate restores each product to its saved state.

  • If you or another schedule changed a product after the run, PopAutomate does not touch it during the restore and shows you the Restore anyway button.
  • "Old schedules (before this feature) have no saved state, so we can't restore them."
  • A discount ends on its own at its time. For other schedules, a "Restore the store as it was?" card appears next to the log with what you chose: "At the end, we put the products back as they were." or "At the end, the changes stay until you change them."

What comes back and what does not is explained in the article Restoring prices after an offer: what comes back?.

Run history

Run history has a row for each run: its type, time and duration, the number of products that changed or did not change, and its result, such as Completed or Completed with issues.

  • The type is one of On Schedule, Run now, Restore, Retry or Ended on time.
  • Click a row to see each product: what changed in it, before and after, and the result (Changed, Didn't execute, Skipped or Unchanged) with the reason.
  • Before the first run, "Hasn't run yet. First run will show here." appears. The All activity link opens the log for this schedule.

How to read the results is explained in the article Schedule run results: what changed in your store?.

Retry

In an open run, Retry appears with the number of products that did not change and that a second try can help. After you confirm, the run starts on those products only. The same button appears on the red "Run failed" banner.

Retrying does not help a product that was deleted from your store, or one whose options the platform refuses to change. See Some products did not change after a schedule ran.

Restore anyway

If you changed a product after the run, or another schedule did, PopAutomate leaves it alone during the restore, and its result is Skipped. Restore anyway appears with the number of those products, and it overwrites that change.

This button usually does not appear. If you cannot find it, change the product yourself in your Salla or Zid dashboard. See Prices did not come back after an offer: causes and fixes.

Change log CSV

In an open run, Change log CSV downloads a file with the products of this run. Its columns are Product, Field, Before, After, Time, Result and Reason, plus SKU if your products have one.
