Store disconnected and schedules paused: how to reconnect
PopAutomate can no longer reach your Salla or Zid store, so all your schedules stop and nothing changes in your store. Reconnect your store.
What you see
- A red banner at the top of every page: "Your connection to Salla has been lost.", with "Your schedules are paused until you reconnect. Nothing in your store will change." and a Reconnect button next to it.
- On Zid, the same banner reads "Your connection to Zid has been lost.", but only when your store has no saved connection left. A Zid connection can also drop with no banner: see A Zid store shows Connected but products do not change.
- Schedules that were Scheduled, Offer Active or Running change to Disabled.
- On the schedule page: "Paused: the connection to Salla" or "… Zid", and under it "It won't run until you reconnect the store. After that, the missed schedules will run."
- In Settings > Store & timezone: Connection disconnected.
- When you click a button on a schedule: "Reconnect your store first." or "Turned on, but it can't run until you reconnect your store."
- Run history has no run for the times that passed while the store was disconnected.
- Is your store on Salla? You get an email with the subject "انقطع الربط مع سلة، جدولاتك موقوفة" ("Salla disconnected: your schedules are paused") and a button to reconnect. PopAutomate emails to Salla and Zid stores are in Arabic. The email arrives once, when the connection drops, if the disconnect alert is on in Settings.
- The red banner can appear with no email, for example if your store was already disconnected before. Go by the red banner.
Why it happens
The permission you gave PopAutomate in Salla or Zid is no longer valid. This happens, for example, when the app is removed from your store or its permissions change. While the connection is down, PopAutomate starts no run, so nothing changes in your store. What changed before the disconnect stays as it is.
If you see "Didn't start: the schedule wasn't ready at the time.", a lost connection can be the cause too. First check whether the red banner appears.
Fix
Your store is on Salla
On Salla, the Reconnect button opens the PopAutomate page on the Salla App Store. What restores the connection is signing in with your Salla account:
- Click the account button at the top (the circle with your first initial), then Sign out.
- On the sign-in page, click Sign in with Salla.
- Approve the PopAutomate connection on the Salla page.
- Check that the red banner is gone and that Settings > Store & timezone shows Connected.

Your store is on Zid
- Click Reconnect in the red banner, or in Settings > Store & timezone.
- Approve the PopAutomate connection on the Zid page.
- Check that the red banner is gone.
If the button does not work, sign out and click Sign in with Zid on the sign-in page. Details in Reconnect your Zid store to PopAutomate.
Times missed while the store was disconnected
After you reconnect, every schedule whose time passed starts within about a minute, even days later. While the connection is down, the Pause button does not appear. So do this before you reconnect:
- Open Schedules and look for the Disabled schedules you no longer want to run now.
- Open each one and click Delete, then Move to Deleted.
- Reconnect your store with the steps above.
- Later, restore what you need from Deleted. The schedule comes back Paused, so it does not run until you click Activate.
After Activate, a repeating schedule runs from its next time. A one-time schedule whose time has passed runs within about a minute.
Moving a schedule to Deleted does not restore anything in your store.
A Zid store shows Connected but products do not change
On Zid, the connection can expire with no red banner, so the status stays Connected. Products then fail during the run, and under them you see "Connection to store was lost during execution." or "We couldn't tell why…"
- Click the account button at the top, then Sign out.
- Click Sign in with Zid and approve the connection.
- Open the schedule and click Retry on the last run.
You do not get a disconnect email in this case.
Still stuck?
If the red banner stays after you reconnect, or your sign-in is refused, read Can't sign in with Salla or Zid in PopAutomate. Then click Support in the menu on the left. On your phone, tap Contact us in the account menu. The steps are in Contact PopAutomate support on WhatsApp. Send:
- Your store name, and whether it is on Salla or Zid.
- A screenshot of the red banner or the message.
- About when the connection dropped.
