Prices did not come back after an offer: causes and fixes
Click Restore on the schedule page. If the price stays, you may have edited the product after the run, the product may have had an earlier sale price, or you chose Changes stay.
What you see
- The schedule is Completed or Ended, and the product still has the new price, discount, visibility or category.
- Or, in a Restore run, a product is marked Skipped, with "Price changed after execution, so we didn't revert it to preserve your changes."
- Or a product is marked Didn't execute.
Why it happens
At the end of an offer, PopAutomate restores only what you set to Restore it, and only at the end time. A discount does not "come back": it ends at its end time. The price also does not come back if:
- The restore time has not come yet, or the restore is still running.
- You chose Changes stay.
- You edited the product yourself after the run.
- The product had an earlier sale price.
- The restore failed on some products, even after the automatic retries.
- It is a one-time schedule with no end time.
- You deleted the schedule permanently and its products were not restored.
- The schedule is an End Discount schedule.
Fix
The restore has not started or finished
The restore starts within about a minute of the end time and takes about 10 minutes per 100 products.
- On a repeating schedule, the end time is the end of the run day (11:59 PM), or the end time you chose for the day.
- If another schedule is running in your store, the restore waits until it finishes.
Open Run history on the schedule: the restore appears as a run marked Ended on time. On Zid, the discount of a repeating schedule ends at about 3 AM Riyadh time (GMT+3). Details in A discount started or ended at the wrong time.
You chose "Changes stay"
With Changes stay, the products keep the new state until you change them. To restore them now:
- Open the schedule from Schedules.
- Click Restore, then Restore in the dialog.
If the schedule repeats and is Scheduled, click Pause first, then Restore. All the steps: Restore prices and products after a schedule ran.
You edited the product after the run
If the product changed in your store after the run, PopAutomate leaves it as it is so your edit is not lost, and marks the product Skipped. The same reason appears if another schedule changed the product after that run.
- Edit the product by hand in Salla or Zid, to the price you want.
The product had an earlier sale price
The discount replaces the earlier sale price. When the discount ends or you restore it, the earlier sale price does not come back.
- Set the earlier sale price again yourself in Salla or Zid.
- Before you schedule a discount, check that the product has no sale price you want to keep.
The restore failed on some products
If a product is marked Didn't execute in a Restore run, the restore failed on it. PopAutomate retries on its own after 15 minutes, then after 1 hour, then after 6 hours. If the connection to your store is down, it waits until the connection is back, then tries.
If products are still left after the last try, Home and the bell show "We couldn't put all of “…” back", with "… are still changed in your store. We tried more than once. Open the log and press “Restore”." A product you deleted from your store is not counted.
You do not have to wait:
- Check that your store is connected. If you see "Paused: the connection to …", reconnect it first.
- Click Restore on the schedule page again, not Retry.
Failure alerts by email depend on your settings: read PopAutomate email alerts: choose what you get.
A one-time schedule with no end time
PopAutomate does not restore a one-time schedule with no end time on its own.
- Open the schedule from Schedules.
- Click Restore, then Restore in the dialog.
You deleted the schedule permanently
- Once a schedule is deleted permanently, its products can no longer be restored. Edit the products by hand in Salla or Zid.
- PopAutomate does not delete permanently a schedule that has a restore waiting for its time. You see "Not deleted: …", and the schedule stays in Deleted until PopAutomate has restored its products.
- A schedule that is only in Deleted, not deleted permanently, is not affected: its restore still runs at its time.
You can delete a schedule permanently when it has no restore waiting, for example one set to Changes stay. If its products are still changed, restore them before you delete it:
- In Deleted, click Restore, then click Restore on the schedule page.
- When the restore is done, delete the schedule.
An "End Discount" schedule
End Discount cannot be restored, and its schedule page has no Restore button. If you want the discount again:
- Create a new discount schedule as in Schedule a discount on Salla and Zid.
